George Washington was a general at the head of American forces when they beat the British army creating a new nation. Then he was the first President for two terms-it lasted until FDR broke the limit.
Dwight Eisenhower was the leader of Allied forces in Europe which defeated Hitler. Eisenhower also served two terms as the President. His nickname was Ike. Taxes in America were the highest ever when he was in charge. He met several times with union leaders. He helped start the Interstate Highway System. Eventually chains of fast food restaurants were built near the exits of all the major new freeways, and highways.
