New transit hub at Southwestern College to be celebrated
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of a Transit Hub is scheduled for Aug. 17 at Southwestern College.
According to college officials, “the new transit center improves access to the Chula Vista campus by relocating the former transit stop from the campus ring road to a more convenient location along Otay Lakes Road. Designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and traffic flow, the hub features a dedicated bus loading and unloading lane while reducing congestion caused by buses, personal vehicles, and rideshare traffic within the campus core.”
The ribbon-cutting will be at 10 a.m. on the Southwestern College campus at 900 Otay Lakes Road in Chula Vista.
